Evaluation of area of cyclic quadrilateral given the lengths of sides

Let ABCD be a cyclic quadrilateral , whose sides AB,BC,CD,DA are a,b,c,d respectively then the area of cyclic qudrilateral is given by \[\sqrt{(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)(s-d)}\]

where \[ 2s=a+b+c+d\]   s is semi perimeter of the cycilc quadrilateral.

Example .Find the area of cyclic quadrilateral whose lengths of sides are 10 cm,9 cm , 7 cm, 8 cm.

solution:

Here a=10,b=9,c=7,d=8  

Area of the cyclic quadrilateral comes to 70.99
