A kilobit(Kb or kbit) is a data measurement unit for digital information or computer storage. One kilobits contains 1024 bits. 8 kilobits constitute one single kilobyte. Therefore kilobit is a one-eight the size of a kilobyte.Before broad internet was common, internet speeds were measured in kilobits. Now most of the ISP &apos s(Internet Service Providers) offer the internet speeds of 10Mbps or higher, so the kilobits are not in common use. Kilobits are used to measure data transfer rates usually measured in Kbps.
